Job Description Summary

The English/Reading/Communication Department at Onondaga Community College is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals to teach courses in English.

Major Responsibilities

The English/Reading/Communication Department continually seeks adjunct instructors qualified to teach one or more of the following: Developmental Composition and Introductory Composition. Often, classes in the early morning and late afternoon need to be filled.
Strong candidates will offer skill in the use of technology to enhance learning as well as experience with innovative instructional strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and a minimum of one year teaching college level English.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with experience teaching at a community college.
