Job Description Summary

Onondaga Community College is accepting applications for skilled adjunct instructors to teach in the computing disciplines. The Computer Studies Department is soliciting applications for potential future opportunities in all our disciplines:
• Computer science / programming (C++, Java, Assembly, Visual Basic, & C#.NET)
• Cybersecurity
• Forensics
• Databases (programming, management, and administration)
• Information literacy
• Networking
• Server management
• Systems analysis
• Tech support
• Web development & programming

Major Responsibilities

• Teach a maximum of 11.9 contact hours per term in college-level teaching of computing courses.

• Responsible for instruction, examinations, maintenance of student records, and availability to students.

• Participate in a two-hour orientation program.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree (or higher) from a regionally-accredited college or university in Computer & Information Science or closely-related field, with at least 12 graduate hours in field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong candidates will have some experience teaching at the community college level and working with diverse populations of students, especially underrepresented students.

• Professional employment experience in the field is also desired.
