Job Description Summary

Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, is accepting applications for an adjunct chef instructor in our Hospitality Management program to teach classes in Basic Food Preparation.

The goals of this course are to give the student a working knowledge of basic food preparation on a small quantity scale and the scientific principles behind it. Areas of concentration will be: meat cookery, cold food preparation, and baking.

Major Responsibilities

The adjunct instructor is responsible for demonstrations, lecturing, compiling tests, assessing student performance relative to standardized learning objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.

5 years professional culinary experience;

Prior teaching or training experience;

Servsaf certified
