These positions are for temporary laborer positions working up to 17 hours per week to support snow removal operations. The work is centered around snow shoveling of stair units, athletic bleachers, salting and or landscaping and other campus wide initiatives as required such as event set-ups & tear downs. Individual must have a clean NYS Divers License and have the ability to operate light equipment such as snow blowers, etc. The work schedule will vary, the shift is daily from 4:00AM-8:00AM, employee will work 4-day per weeks, with a schedule to include weekends.

Job Description Summary
Major Responsibilities

• Performs grounds maintenance such as clearing debris, raking, basic repairs;
• Cuts grass, brush and trees using hand tools and powered equipment;
• May assist equipment repair mechanics in assembling or installation of parts;
• Operates self-propelled equipment such as riding mowers and other light equipment;
• Set up and tear down of special events;
• Rough carpentry and painting projects;
• Shovels/salts walkways and other areas in the winter months.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions;
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor;
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools;
• Observes and obeys safety standards;
